Oh. That's true. I think it was the triple moon the first time we met.

My eyes changed. They looked like a cat's. And I had feathers down the back of my neck.

I was very hungry. i don't normally have much of an appetite so it was noticeable. And I- there was a deep craving for contact. I had hoped that just being around lots of people without touching would help.

It didn't, as you might have noticed.

I was also a little more... personable? Willing to talk than I normally am.

I realise that might be hard to believe, but I'm usually much less comfortable around new people.

( Remember when Angela jokingly mentioned making him a vapor pen? Well. A courier drops by with a very small box in handwriting he will likely know on sight as her own, whether he's ever seen her handwriting or no.

It's a wide and looping cursive, as playful as she is, far from her clinical hand that writes in plain block letters. It just has his name on the top with a heart that bears a halo as his only "hint", as if he even needed one.

Inside he'll find a delicate little cigarette wrapped in a removable, washable paper-fiber cover that feels as real as can be, a well-textured end that lights up with an ember glow when he pulls on the other end, and an assortment of 20 vials, all labeled with decreasing percentages of nicotine content. There's 4 more vials to test for a couple different flavors, one labeled 'spice cookie' and another just 'clove' as in the cigarettes, 'peppermint', and 'blueberry muffin'. There's a note card inside detailing how frequently he should be going through the bottles and when to step down to the next lower nicotine level, directions on how to fill and clean between "flavors", and that if he has any requests for something new, he can let her know.

Partially-immortal or no, perhaps he'll feel better without encouraging lung cancer. Who knows. One less temptation with the same relaxing effect to breathe in deeply and visualize his breath as he exhales with the "smoke" (vapor). )

[The message comes through while Jon is still half asleep, and he stumbles to the door to retrieve it. There's a bag there, and he takes it inside to poke curiously at it.

He shows up at Daisy's flat not long after, his own gift in hand, and knocks at the door.]
