Yes. Magic is not something I'm fond of, but it is part of my life regardless. Now that I'm something of magic, I don't really get to be picky. You may have to take a similar approach sooner or later.

I did say there's nothing like magecraft where I'm from. Maybe I'll try to learn some of the magic here.

Possibly. I do like learning new things. I could do with a hobby.

Yes, I think many of us could after so much displacement.

Probably. There isn't much structure here.

On the contrary, I'd say there's plenty! What's missing is a place to start.

What kind of place would you suggest?

A program for integration seems the most obvious. Classes for those who are missing the context of not growing up in this world, and resources to decide what to do. Career tracks, communication lines with specialized government workers, a guardian system for those who are deemed too young to be living alone.

There's plenty of ways to help someone break into society, but one can't help but feel they're just as clueless on what to do.

That makes sense. I get the impression there are more people than they expected. And in such a variety of people.

I've definitely seen teenagers here, who wouldn't normally be left to live alone.

Exactly. Hal's fit to have a conniption over it and I doubt he's the only one! Not taking care of the refugees satisfactorily could lead to quite the civil unrest, especially as we are in an unquestionable position of power given our ability to generate chroma during this shortage.

[ He sighs, as if completely put out by this. ]

It isn't in my nature to be helping society so much as picking it apart where I please, but circumstances being as they are...

There's no point borrowing trouble, not when we're still in the dark about exactly what the capabilities of the Prismals are.

[There are the Moon Knights of course, but while things have been relatively open, he is sure that there are secrets.]

As if we aren't already in a vat of trouble from which we can't escape! It's only a matter of time until some vigilante or villain attempts to fix what they don't like as long as they're going to be stuck here.

From my very presence, we already know that there's no discrimination in what types of morals or personalities are drawn here.

And it would be stupid to think of the Prismals as a monolith. I'm sure there are plenty of them uncomfortable with us arriving and getting so much special treatment.

Yes. There's many angles to consider, and especially difficult is that we as Moonblessed are not in any way affiliated with each other. Undoubtedly, we are all considered as a single group regardless. One sufficiently bad apple could easily spoil the whole bunch in the Prismals' eyes.

So we could end up, theoretically, with Hannibal Lecter killing and eating people. and because it's a Moonblessed, we're all considered deranged cannibals. Charming.

Isn't that always the way? If someone is part of a group, the actions of radicals will speak louder than the behavior of the majority. Intentionally working to bridge those gaps could alleviate the issue but would also require someone of great charisma and leadership!

Well, that's me out of the running then.

[Not that it's a job he would want anyway. His purpose is to watch, observe, experience. He isn't there to lead.]

Indeed. It's many people out of the running. I'm sure it won't stop some from trying to act in that place.

Entertaining is one way of putting it, I suppose. Definitely won't be boring though.
